What is recorded here

Gallan is a one-metre square standing stone in West Cork pasture, recorded in the official Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. It may have marked a boundary, a burial or a meeting place, but no human name or date has survived to confirm which. The stone still stands in grass, waiting for someone to remember what it was set to hold.
