Gallán is a subrectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, rising 1.2 metres above pasture with a long axis stretching northwest to southeast. It still occupies the field as a visible marker of human presence, perhaps guiding movement, marking boundary or remembering an event now lost. The stone does not need a grand claim to be notable; it continues to stand where people once gave it meaning.
