What is recorded here

Gallán is a 1.6m rectangular standing stone on a west-facing slope in County Cork, aligned NNW-SSE. It resisted mapping on both the 1842 and 1903 OS surveys, remaining invisible to official record while embedded in living pasture. That absence marks it as a threshold place: visible to people who walked the land, but refused by systems that needed to control what they saw.
