What is recorded here

Hartnett found collapsed flag stones near the centre of the ringfort in 1937. The passage has vanished beneath its own roof, leaving only buried stone and a blocked entrance. What was dug into the earth has been swallowed by it.
In ringfort (8251). Hartnett c. 1937 noted 'near centre some flag stones of roof are exposed. Cave itself is collapsed (UCC). Entrance now blocked up. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
