What is recorded here

Gallan is a vanished standing stone on an east-facing Cork slope, commanding views north and east but leaving no visible surface trace. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning, yet even its stones have gone. What remains is the shape of the loss: a point on a hill where attention still gathers, and forgets itself.
