Gallan is a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. The subrectangular stone rises 2.2 metres on an NE-facing pasture slope, aligned NE-SW, with a prostrate stone lying just south. It may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a memory older than living witness. Whatever it recorded, the slope and grass have kept it company ever since.
