What is recorded here

Gallán is a 1.74m standing stone on a SW-facing slope in County Cork, leaning slightly SE with its long axis NE-SW. It sits in rough grazing, absent from the 1842 OS map, suggesting it was overlooked or hidden by grass and time. Its subrectangular shape and quiet tilt mark it as a place marker, not a monument to pride. Whoever set it there did so without warning, without name, without claim.
