Gallan is a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, hidden in pasture on a west-facing slope with no visible surface trace. It may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a meeting place before the grass swallowed its shape. The land still holds the shape of human attention even when the stone itself has vanished from sight.
