Gallan stood six feet tall in Kerry pasture, a brown sandstone marker on the lands of Mr. Cronin that caught the eye of anyone passing the lane. The landowner removed it during drainage works, erasing its vertical presence and leaving only a slight depression in the soil. What remains is a hollow where a visible stone once stood, transforming a local landmark into a memory buried beneath practical farm improvements.

In pasture, to the S of a lane. This standing stone was removed by the landowner during drainage works. A slight depression marks its original location. It was recorded in the 1940s as 'a fine gallan on the lands of Mr. Cronin. It is about 6 ft [1.82m] tall by 21/2 ft [0.76m] wide, and of brown sandstone' (ITA).
