What is recorded here

Gallán is a triangular standing stone in County Kerry, Ireland, rising 2.7m beside Shepherd's Clump wood. Its irregular base spans 1.8m and its north-south orientation suggests deliberate placement rather than casual collapse. Packing-stones nearby hint that hands once arranged the earth around it, perhaps to mark a boundary, a memory or a meeting place. The wood holds its shadow while the pasture holds its light, and both seem to agree the stone still belongs somewhere.

In pasture, at the NW edge of Shepherd's Clump wood. The stone (Wth 1.8m at base; T 0.8m; H 2.7m) is triangular in shape and irregular in plan and orientated N-S.
