What is recorded here

Gallán was a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, now removed and lying in a field boundary to the east. It evades the 1842 and 1904 maps, suggesting human hands or forgotten purpose shaped its visibility. The stone may have marked a boundary, witnessed rituals, or simply resisted measurement. Its absence is louder than its presence, inviting wonder about what it touched and who chose to bury or move it.
