What is recorded here

Gallán was a single standing stone in County Cork, marked on the 1938 map but absent from earlier surveys, now removed without visible trace. It may have stood as a boundary, a memorial or a local landmark before disappearing. Its loss reminds us that many ordinary stones vanished during road works, farming or neglect, taking their stories with them.
