What is recorded here

Gallán is a rectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, now lying broken in the southwest corner of a field after leaving its original position. It stands beside two fulachta fiadh, suggesting the ground once hosted fire, water and human ceremony. The stone may have marked a boundary, a memory or a warning, but its exact purpose has faded like breath on glass. What remains is a displaced shape, still heavy with the weight of forgotten attention.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. Stone (H 1.85m; 0.4m x 0.5m) is rectangular in plan, removed from original position and now lying in SW corner of field.
