What is recorded here

Gallán is a triangular standing stone in a Cork pasture, marked neither on the 1842 nor 1904 survey maps. It stands 0.9m tall on a south-facing slope, leaning slightly along its NNW-SSE axis. Three shallow indentations trace the south corner of its east face, while a rough X-shaped cross appears on the NNW face. The stone may have guided herds, marked a boundary or recorded a life event now lost.

Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Stone (H 0.9m; 0.6m x 0.43m) is triangular in plan and shape, long axis NNW-SSE. Three indentations (L 0.04m, 0.055m, 0.065m; Wth 0.02m) on S corner of E face, rough X-shaped cross on NNW face.
