In small coniferous plantation, adjacent to spring. Marked 'fulacht fiadh (site of)' on 1937 OS 6-inch map. No visible surface trace. Second fulacht fiadh (11244) c. 110m to SW. Probably one of four fulachta fiadh (11244, 11249, 11250) recorded by Bowman (1934, 479) on D. Fitzgerald's land. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
