In marshy ground, on W side of stream. Heavily overgrown mound of burnt material (L c. 12m; Wth c. 12m; H 1.8m). Probably one of five fulachta fiadh (see 10226) recorded in townland by Bowman (1934, 711). Second fulacht fiadh (10225) 13m to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
