What is recorded here
Located in a shallow basin of damp, rush grown pasture that occupies a natural terrace on a SE-facing ridge slope. To NW the ground rises steeply to a ridge that dominates the skyline.
This fulacht fia is visible as a low, roughly C-shaped rise (c. 8m N-S; c. 6m E-W; H 0.5m) with a hollow area at W. It is composed of shattered, angular stone fragments in a black soil matrix. A NNE-SSW field wall clips the W edge of the mound, and a cattle track extends E-W through the centre.
There is a burnt mound (MA015-084003-) 8m to W, a possible burnt mound (MA015-084002-) c. 30m ESE, and another fulacht fia (MA015-084001-) c. 55m to SE. There is a fulacht fia (MA015-083----) 85m to SSE.
