Fulacht fia in Ratooragh

In pasture, on the E side of a stream. A crescent-shaped mound (10.5m E-W; 5m N-S; H 0.6m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil, partially covered with gorse. The opening (Wth 2.2m) faces N. The W edge of the mound is being eroded by the stream. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
