What is recorded here
Near the W shore of a small lake. Indicated on Robinson’s map (1977) touching the W shore of what he names ‘Ballinafad Lake’. Not located during a field visit in 1997 at which point the lake was covered in almost 2m high reeds and bulrushes. The sites of two other reported fulachtaí fiadh in the vicinity (T. Coffey pers. comm), 100m to NE and c. 100m to SW, also remain unlocated.
