Fulacht fia in Lecarrow (murrisk By.)

Situated in the north-western face of the recent stream cutting (Pollbrandy on Ordnance Survey maps) 28.7m NE of MA085-005007-. No trace of the old stream course is visible. Situated on relatively flat ground towards head of outflow gully from ‘Lough na bPoll’. The fulacht fia comprises a layer of burnt stone is visible in the north-western section face of the deep V-shaped drainage cutting. As exposed in face of modern cutting, it measures NE–SW c. 3.6m, T 0.35m max. However, no visible surface trace of the fulacht fia survives on either bank of the cutting.
