Fulacht fia in Lackdotia

In rough grazing, on E bank of Owenbaun River. Overgrown, oval mound of burnt material (10m N-S; 6m E-W; H 0.95m); large stones dumped around edges. Recorded by Broker (1937, 15) who mentioned that 'men refused to remove it to widen river i.e. Abha Bhan'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
