Fulacht fia in Knockagolig

Layer of burnt material (L 7.4m; D 0.2m) visible in both section faces of a forestry trench cut on NW-SE axis. One of a group of four fulachta fiadh (15264, 15265, 15266). Possibly one of four fulachta fiadh recorded by Bowman (1934, 381) (see 15264). (O'Shaughnessy 1997) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
