Kilbolane is called a fulacht fia, yet no stone or scar remains to mark the heat. That absence is not emptiness; it is a trap for imagination. I can picture water pulled from the earth, stones until they crackled, and people gathering in the dark to share warmth and story. Then time or men took the proof, leaving only the name to burn behind the ribs.

In pasture. According to local information, low mound of burnt material levelled c. 1976 and all burnt stones removed. No visible surface trace. Graveyard (14584) c. 100m to NE.
