What is recorded here
On raised and relatively drier ground along the edge of a bog, possibly a former lake. The land has been part drained for agricultural use. Two other fulachta fiadh (KK008-198---- and KK008-199----) lie 87m and 97m to the NE respectively. A classic U-shaped mound (diam. c. 13m) with an opening to the S denoting the trough.
