Fulacht fia in Downing North

In pasture, on NW side of spring. Oval grass-covered mound of burnt material (17m N-S; 8m E-W; H 0.5m). One of a group of four fulachta fiadh (10731, 10732, 10734). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
