Ballyclogh Church (in Ruins)

In pasture, in demesne of Ballyclogh House. Ruined rectangular church (11.5m E-W; 6.3m N-S), walls low (average H 0.6m) and roughly coursed, overgrown with trees. Highest surviving section in centre of N wall (H 1.6m). Interior strewn with stones. Power (1932, 76) found 'no trace of boundary fence and no sign of interments...in or around building'. He surmised that church was 'quasi-parochial, serving the disjointed portion of Glanworth parish of which it is the centre' (ibid.).
