Fulacht fia in Cappeen East — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Muddy water, hot stones, and the smell of wet wool still belong to the place. A machine cut through the bottom of a green field and opened a long ribbon of ancient heat. People may have stood there in rain, waiting for food or mercy from the boiling pit. The land kept the shape of their hurry.

This monument was reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Tony Miller on 4 September 2013. He describes it as follows: "This site is just south of the R585 c. 1.5km east of the village of Coppeen. The main drain at the bottom of a field of improved pasture has been re-cut by a machine revealing a c. 20m long section of fulacht material c. 0.6m in depth."
