In overgrown marshy ground beside road. Heavily overgrown, possibly circular mound, composed of dark soil and some brittle stones beneath c.0.3m of humic soil. According to local information, there is a hollow inthe centre. Nature of site uncertain but possibly a fulacht fiadh. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
