An area of black soil with shattered sandstone fragments was discovered during construction of Cork-Dublin gas pipeline (1981-2); site not excavated (Cleary et al. 1987, 8, no. 65). See also 'Excavation 1998', no. 58, p. 14. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
