What is recorded here

In rough pasture, close to a stream on an E-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. According to local information, a mound of burnt stone and black earth which existed here was levelled and the burnt material spread during reclamation works. The area is now under pasture and there are no visible remains of this possible fulacht fia. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
