What is recorded here
Hot stones, water, steam, food or baths. Men worked the edge of a small woodland above the River Feale, perhaps feeding stone pots until the air tasted of wet heat. The land kept that much: black gravel, a trench, and the shape of repeated use.
During drainage works for the development of a golf course possible fulacht fia material consisting of black permeable gravel was noted in a trench at the S edge of a narrow band of woodland c. 100m N of the River Feale.
