Fulacht fia in An Ghairfeanaigh

This turf-covered, kidney-shaped mound is situated on marshy ground about 55m from the W bank of the Garfinny river; a dried-up stream bed can be seen nearby. The maximum dimension of the mound is 19m and its maximum height, at E, is .8m. The in-curving front of the mound faces WNW. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
