Fualach Fian is a grass-covered cooking site in County Leitrim, marked only on the 1945 OS 6-inch map and sitting at the headwaters of a small stream. Its shallow oval basin and concave edges suggest hot stones, water and repeated use, while the Fian name gives the ordinary act of cooking a mythic edge. People may have gathered there to heat food, share story or mark the place in memory, turning a low wet field into a stage for imagination.

Marked only on the 1945 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as ‘Fulacht Fian’, and located in a low-lying position at the headwaters of a small NE-SW stream. This is a grass-covered cairn (diam. 11.5m N-S; 11m E-W; H 0.75m) with a slight hollow at the centre and concave edges at N and S.
