Frank Wilcoxon

Frank Wilcoxon was born in County Cork, Ireland, on 2 September 1892, the same year the United States declared war on Germany. He grew up in Catskill, New York, studied chemistry at Rutgers and Cornell, and spent decades measuring plant growth and powder performance. His ranking tests still let people compare uneven data without pretending nature fits a perfect curve.
