Square-headed door opening, with rendered reveals, and replacement timber panelled door. Outbuilding has mono-pitched artificial slate roof, tall roughcast rendered chimneystack, small plain window and temporary timber door. Set lower than level of road overlooking River Liffey in private gardens, concrete pathway to perimeter of house. Bounded to east and partially to north by roughcast boundary wall with solider rubble coping, partially bounded to roadside by wrought-iron railings and gates.
A traditionally styled nineteenth-century house, set on a pleasant site with mature gardens overlooking the River Liffey opposite Phoenix Park. It is one of several historic houses along this stretch of the Liffey, and adds to the variety and character of the area approaching Chapelizod from the east. It is well maintained to retain an early aspect, retaining historic timber sash windows and detailing.
