Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Fort Rona as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Fort Rona* was a British coaster built in 1919, primarily used for coastal trade. It was lost in 1940 during World War II after striking a mine off the coast of Wales, resulting in the loss of all 33 crew members; its wreck remains a war grave and a protected site.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
