What is recorded here

Former Woodlands Fairy Fort has vanished without a trace despite appearing on early OS maps. It stood on good level ground in County Donegal, likely a simple ringfort rather than a fairy abode. The land may have swallowed the stones or people may have forgotten the name, but the absence itself proves the fort once resisted the tide of time.

There is no trace of the single-ringed 'Fort' marked on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. It was located on good level ground.
