The font, originally from Kilmacree church and now located at the remains of Ballykelly Roman Catholic church, is a rectangular granite baptismal font dating to the early Christian period, likely 8th to 10th century. It is significant as a rare surviving example of early Christian ecclesiastical architecture and craftsmanship in the region.
