St. Pappan's medieval identity survives only through a plain octagonal font in the chancel of the 1709 Church of Ireland. The vessel still stands on its original plinth, preserving a shape and purpose that predate the present building. Everything else belonging to the older foundation has disappeared, leaving water and stone as its witness.

The only trace of the medieval foundation on St. Pappan's Church of Ireland (1709) is a font in the SW corner of the chancel.
