Rosscarbery Cathedral still holds a broken circular stone font from Inchidoney church, its base snapped and its water long drained. The move suggests a forgotten time when a smaller house of worship lost its heart and Rosscarbery absorbed it. A child may have been baptized in that font before it became a relic, carrying one community’s prayers into another.
