What is recorded here
In a modern farmyard. On the site identified by the Athy Cemeteries Committee (athycemeteriescommittee@hotmail.com) as being that of Russellstown church (KD035-100----) and graveyard (KD035-100001-). Architectural fragments (KD035-100003-), presumably from the levelled church, also survive. A roughly dressed, circular limestone font (diam. 0.54m; H 0.36m; basin diam. 0.26m; D 0.24m) has two shallow rebates on its upper edge, perhaps to accommodate a hinged lid.
