St John's Well in Fintry is traditionally associated with St John the Baptist and was likely used for healing and baptismal rites. Historical accounts suggest that the well was visited for its supposed curative properties, particularly for skin ailments and general wellness, and may have been a site of seasonal or saint-day pilgrimage.
