Six coins appeared together in Kilclief during the MEDIEVAL period, turning an ordinary field into a place where lost wealth returned to human hands. They may have dropped from a swollen pocket, fallen from a cart, or been hidden by someone who never returned for them. However they came, the ground kept them until digging opened that small chest again.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as FINDSPOT OF 6 COINS. Recorded period: MEDIEVAL. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
