Filey Brigg is a prominent coastal headland composed mainly of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its dramatic sea cliffs, the remains of a historic castle, and its importance as a geological and archaeological site in North Yorkshire.
