What is recorded here
Barrington recorded the foundations of an oval structure on the E side of Scariff Island (1986, 287), below the oratory (KE105A-001001-). He also recorded an early field system nearby. It was not possible to investigate this site.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1449. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
