What is recorded here

On a level landscape on the NW shore of Loughaneally lough (dims c. 530m NW-SE; c. 270m NE-SW), which is marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Loughaneally was probably a turlough and is now reclaimed. Two small diamond-shaped fields (dims c. 50m NE-SW; c. 50m NW-SE: c. 30m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) placed side by side and with lazy-beds in both are visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP: APH 31; GSIAP: M471-2) in a field now known as the Village.
