What is recorded here
Situated on a small S-N spur on the E-facing side of the N-S Tara ridge. The cropmarks of three enclosures defined by fosse features, and a field system also defined by fosses or ditches can be seen on oblique aerial photographs (CUCAP: ATC 33-37) from the 1970s. The interpretation of the features is overcomplicated by Newman (1997, 206-07), but the cropmarks do not appear on any other images. The fields are rectangular (dims c. 40m x c. 30m) and defined by ditch features. They are attached to the arc of enclosure (ME037-002001-) on the W side and together with the other enclosures occupy an area of about 7 acres (c. 2.5 ha).
