What is recorded here
In tillage, on a SE-facing slope. A moated site (TS063-034003-) is located immediately to the NE and a possible moated site (TS063-034002-) is adjacent to the W. Identified by aerial photography (G.S.I. S.651/650 16/04/1974) as a linear cropmark (long-axis NE-SW) which appears to continue into the field to the NE and runs along the SE side of the possible moated site, while another linear cropmark extends SW from the W corner of the possible moated site and continues roughly along the SE side of the adjacent moated site, on the same alignment. The cropmark is parallel to the existing NW and SE field boundaries. It is not visible at ground level.
