What is recorded here
Balcunnin holds a hidden field system in low arable land, visible only when crops grow unevenly across the soil. That subtle difference reveals boundaries long buried, linking the flat ground south toward Baldongan church. The fields disappeared from ordinary sight but remained written in the land, waiting for seasonal light and human attention to bring them back.
A field system visible as a crop mark on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 (See also DU005-085----). (SMR file; pers. comm. T. Condit). Located in relatively low arable land with views south up to Baldongan church (DU005-037001-). No visible remains.
