What is recorded here
In rough hill pasture, on blanket bog, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Kealduff River. Traces of mainly curvilinear, stone field boundaries (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and cover a roughly rectangular area (c. 330m N-S; c. 195m E-W). Several gaps were noted in the walls where the stones run on into deeper bog. Within the network of walls are three hut sites (KE083-019003-, KE083-019004-, KE083-019005-) and an enclosure (KE083-019001-).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
